ALABAMA ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Getting into a Medical School program comes with many choices. In Alabama for example, there is a 4 year program.

ALABAMA MEDICAL SCHOOL INFO AND REQUIREMENTS

Alabama has four different universities that offer the graduate-degree program needed to become a pharmacist – the Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) degree.

Each of the pharmacy schools listed here are ACPE-accredited programs and that’s important. By completing your education at an ACPE-accredited school you’ll be able to meet the licensure requirement to become a pharmacist in any state in the US, not just the state of Alabama.

To figure out which program is right for you, read each school’s program to narrow your search by admission requirements. From there you can learn more about what it’s like to be a student by reading their program’s length, curriculum, faculty, and campus. You’ll also find important stats like acceptance rates, graduation rates, and NAPLEX pass rates which are important things to consider when you’re talking to the school’s admission teams.

ALABAMA STATE PHARMACY SCHOOL ACCREDITATION

The state of Alabama recognizes the national ACPE accreditation as the standard for the state. ACPE accreditation is public recognition that a professional degree program leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is judged to meet established qualifications and education standards through initial and subsequent periodic evaluations.

ACPE requires all programs it accredits to meet the expectations of all 25 of ACPE’s accreditation standards. There are currently 4 schools in the state of Georgia that offer the PharmD that are recognized as ACPE-accredited.
